Jon has a BA in Advertising Communications from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Real Estate Development from the University of Utah. While his first 7+ years of work were done almost exclusively in the real estate world, Jon knew that his skill set could transcend other industries and in 2011 Jon made a career change and jumped into the funeral industry with both feet and has not looked back.


Passionate about creating innovative solutions to help both funeral professionals and the families they serve, Jon has helped start 3 successful businesses in the funeral, cemetery, grief and loss space. Most notably, Jon currently serves as President and CEO of Domanicare and ForGrief.com, both businesses he helped co-found. Jon also serves as the SVP of Consumer Experience at Homesteaders Life Company and is leading several strategic initiatives to improve and enhance its work with consumers, align consumer experience efforts with Homesteaders’ overall strategies and support Homesteaders innovation efforts to help funeral provides connect with more people. 


Jon also works with many cross-function teams and other subject matter experts to surface deeper insights about consumer awareness, attitudes, beliefs and behaviors regarding end-of life matters. He also currently serves as a Board Member of EveryStep, a non-profit health care and human services organization which annually serves tens of thousands of Iowans each year.

Dr. Camelia L. Clarke

Dr. Clarke is a longtime native of Milwaukee, WI. She has worked as a death care expert in the funeral industry for nearly 30 years. She is the co-owner of Paradise Memorial Funeral & Cremation Services, Leon L. Williamson Funeral & Cremation Services, and the Cremation Center of Milwaukee. She is the Past President of the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association and has held leadership positions with various trade associations. She served as a Funeral Service Advisory Board Member at Milwaukee Area Technical College.


Dr. Clarke has extensive for-profit and non-profit board experience. She’s held various board roles where she’s managed the governance of leadership teams and large budgets. In addition, she’s managed multiple restructuring processes that helped numerous organizations to move beyond crisis stabilization to sustainable change.


In 2022, Dr. Clarke was elected to the board of directors of Federated Mutual Insurance Companies, a Fortune 1000 company in Owatonna, Minnesota, where she serves on the executive, investment, and compensation committees.


She is a founding member of the Wisconsin Chapter of Entrepreneurial Organization and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Kappa Omega Chapter in Milwaukee, WI.


Dr. Clarke graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. She also earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, WI, an Executive MBA from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI, and a Doctor of Business Administration program (DBA) from the University-Wisconsin Whitewater.
